Pleasantly surprised. I bought this on a recommendation from someone on the internet, but I am quite impressed. The book itself is of quality construction. Its not a board book, the paper is high quality and the cover is strong. I won't let my two year old play with it, but I do leave it on his bookshelf for him to bring it to me. He liked it and immediately recognized daddy's dice, and demanded I go get him some so he could say "same!"The writing is sufficient to the task, with a bit of rhyming and sensible topics for each letter. The artwork is nice, non-violent stuff. The adventurers are all artwork of a various kids (with a variety of ethnicities) in what look like home made costumes. The monsters are obviously monsters without being scary or gruesome.
I heartily recommend this book.

I ordered this just because it was a D & D related children's book...not really expecting much. BUT WOW! This is truly beautifully illustrated and has a bit of a story running through the ABC's. It is absolutely charming. This is a critical hit for sure! (Also has a Critical Role quote in it! And Owlbears!)
This is an excellent book. We play D&D a lot, and my 2 yr old son lobe to be my co-DM. One of his favorite things in the world is being read to, and trying to read himself. He absolutely loves the book. It is well constructed and has great art that goes pwrfecrly.with the story.
I love this little kid-nerd ABC book. I'm glad I ordered one before the seller ran out. The return instructions were included and clear. Even though I have no intention on returning it, I appreciated the extra effort the seller made to prepare me ahead of tme.
My little boys love this book, and so do I! The pictures are great - cute and fun, but with lots of little details - and the rhyming narration is charming and funny. There are a lot of ABC books out there, but this is a great one for the children of tabletop gaming nerds.
We started my oldest daughter (5 years old) on table tops when she was 3. She now sets up her own dungeons and loves engaging in story lines. We now have a 4 month old daughter was well, and instead of getting another star wars alphabet book like we had before, we purchased this.
If you have a nerdy family, do it. Just buy it. It is cute, the illustrations are adorable, we are very pleased! Even my 5 year old likes us reading this "baby" book to her.
Every gamer with little ones should start them off with this book, and a set of foam dice! I loved every page of this, and will be getting for my kid in the future. Purchased for friends to give their newborn who I intend to DM for one day
Be aware this is not a board book. The pages are paper. They're a heavier weight with a little lamination/gloss to them, but this is not a book you give a child who is young and may tear them apart
I was soooo excited to see this book because my husband is a gamer and it looks adorable. I'm so glad I bought it because it is such a sweet book with great rhyming sentences and absolutely beautiful illustrations. I have a baby girl and really appreciate that the book included both little girl and boy adventurers! I plan on buying one for every new parent I know! I only wish it were a board book so I didn't have to be so careful with my young one who tends to rip pages. All in all, a great buy!
